Uploading and processing media

Choose a file

Click the upload area or drop one local file onto it. The picker accepts video, audio, and image media, although the complete subtitle workflow is designed primarily for videos that contain speech.

Before uploading

• Make sure the file plays on your device.
• Use media with audible speech for transcription.
• Prefer the original file over a repeatedly compressed copy.
• Keep the browser tab open until uploading completes.

Processing stages

1. Preparing video — the service receives the file and creates working media.
2. Transcription — speech is converted to text.
3. Word timing — the transcript is aligned with the audio.
4. Frame and scene analysis — the service determines suitable subtitle placement.
5. AI styling and layout — the initial design is created.
6. Subtitle composition — the result is opened in the editor.

If processing stops

• Check your internet connection.
• Refresh the page and reopen the project.
• If the problem repeats, record the file name and the stage where processing stopped, then contact support.
