Export

MP4 — video with burned-in subtitles.
SRT — text subtitles with timing.
VTT — text subtitles for web players.
ASS — subtitles with extended styling.

Source files

The editor file picker accepts local video, audio, and image media. Whether a particular file can be processed also depends on the codecs inside its container.

Recommendations

Play the file before uploading.
Do not make an incompatible file valid by changing its extension alone.
If processing fails, transcode the source to MP4 in a video editor.
Keep the original until the result has been exported successfully.
